You can practically find hundreds of websites, blogs, and forums dedicated to the sport. A wide array of topics are being discussed and presented at length in these communities, from bearings to bike trails. Of course, specialized bike shops catering to the needs of mountain bikers have sprung up as well.

But is this a bad thing we’re talking about? I don’t think so. Online bike shops offer unequaled convenience and an excellent array of products that your local bike shop cannot hope to match.
